Mi Fogata, a delightful Mexican restaurant located at 4322 N Western Ave in Chicago, has garnered praise for its authentic, homemade cuisine. Many customers, including Reymond Herrera, travel miles just to savor dishes like the renowned Pozole, highlighting its rich flavors and comforting qualities. The restaurant’s commitment to fresh ingredients shines through in every dish, from the satisfying Caldos to the vibrant Chilaquiles, each prepared with care. The welcoming atmosphere, noted by Jeanine Tiggs, is enhanced by the owners' genuine hospitality. This family-owned establishment creates a friendly environment, making it an ideal spot for gatherings. Dishes are crafted from scratch, ensuring both quality and freshness. Karime Silva noted the kindness of the staff, which reflects the restaurant's inviting spirit. Despite being busy during events like the Ravenswood Apple Fest, Mi Fogata continues to impress with perfectly cooked tacos al pastor and breakfast burritos. Their desserts, including Flan Casero and Tres Leches, are equally irresistible, rounding off a meal with a sweet touch. Overall, Mi Fogata stands out as a gem in the Chicago culinary landscape—a place where authentic flavors meet heartfelt service, ensuring every visit is a memorable experience.

Where do I begin. I drive 17 miles from the suburbs for their very delicious Pozole (Red). If you love Mexican food , this is where it’s at .

Very friendly and down to earth owners! We had a great time and the service was excellent She allowed us to come way before time to set up and was extremely accommodating. There was no deposit fee which was a win and the food was great! Loved the place and atmosphere.

i tried this place during the ravenswood apple fest, so i haven’t been inside the restaurant. however! even tho it was later in the day and they were on limited stock, the tacos al pastor and the breakfast burrito were fantastic. cooked fresh, right there, beautifully warm off the griddle. the owner and her boyfriend were there running the stand and they are the nicest people! next time i’m in chicago, i will for sure try more at the physical location.

We stopped into this corner neighborhood spot honestly to kill some time before my son's swim lesson down the street. I was so impressed with the food-- even the basic kid menu quesadilla was super tasty. I had the mole enchiladas which were excellent excellent excellent, a huge portion drenched in mole. I was close to licking the plate. !! I will 100% go again. The atmosphere is casual but pleasant. It was 2.30 in the afternoon, so was pretty empty.

This is a gem in the Lincoln Square & North Center neighborhoods. The mole is one of the best in the city. The service is wonderful with a very friendly and warm atmosphere. Not to mention, the margaritas are strong and inexpensive! Definitely try this soon!
